If I pull the trigger for a sound SVT Contour, can the 2.5 L be "flash-tuned" to upgrade performance like the SVT Focus can?

Is the Taurus 3.0 L drop-in the way to go for a SVT Contour performance upgrade?


TRUE or FALSE:

SVT Contours parts are getting scarce these days as Ford no longer supports the "forgotten SVT".

I dont believe anyone sells "canned tunes" for the Contour, so no. You can have a custom tune made, but the gains are pretty minimal.

Yes a 3L is the way to go for performance gains.

And yes getting specific parts for the SVT Contour is becoming more and more difficult, but you can still get most of the basic things from Ford (gaskets, etc.)

IIRC, mechanically parts are easy. Its the specific SVT Contour body parts that are hard to find.
