Man what luck. My copy of COD4 will only run 720P on my Sony Bravia XBR3. Im using an HDMI cable. I just did a google search and it seems some others have had the same problem. Ive gone through everything on the setup and it works fine with every other 1080 games I have.

Anyone else experience this? I feel shitted to say the least.

Yeah, who gives a shiat. Like you can tell the difference.

Not being a dick, just saying...:p

LOL Nah not you. A dick? Nah. I gues when I buy a product thats advertised a cetain way I want what I paid for. Crazy I know. Id have been pretty upset if my TV really only played 720p instead of 1080p because I, according to you , cant see the difference.

quick question...does the other games that show in 1080 run 1080p or 1080i?

only ask because loosely speaking, 720p is a very simialr picture to 1080i

PS3 games were all supposed to be 'True HD' @ 1080p, but a lot have been taking shortcuts.

Ah well..

I have a couple games that run 1080i and I think only one that runs full 1080p(lair). Hell COD3 runs 1080i. Hrd to believe COD4 doesnt run 1080p. Or atleast I. I realize theres not much of a difference in 720p and 1080i.I would imagine there is a difference in 720p and 1080p. I dont think they made 1080p even though its not any better.

Not sure where your going with that. My $1000 computer(back in 2001) isnt going to have the same resoulution as my $4000 TV. I could be wrong. Im no computer guru.

I wasn't going anywhere, the picture should have explained its self. It shows the difference between the 3 TV resolutions...

Yeah I know that. I just wasnt sure what you were trying to say. Are you saying there is no difference between 480 and 1080p? Also my question was if my computer monitor doesnt have any better resolution than say 480p theres no way I could see the difference in those three resolutions. Its only gonna play what the monitor is capable of. I was hoping you could explain it more to me. Now if one look at my TV at 480 then at 1080p and they cant see a difference? Well theyre not to keen in the eyes. There is a huge difference.

This isnt the path I was looking to go down anayway. I bought a game advertised as 1080P as other games are. This one doesnt deliver. Simple as that.

I will say its a pretty kick ass game though. A whole new level from all the other COD titles.

Figuered it out. You have to disable 720P to get the 1080P resolution. I can honestly say there isnt that much difference but I do see some things that are noticable. I imagine you would have to have two right beside each other to really see the difference.

All you have to do is take out 720p out of an options for display and it will play in 1080p/i
That is what i did. Just make sure you reenable 720 if you have a game that will only display that.
