I have a d1sc procharged 99cobra t56, aeromotive return style fuel system a1000 sumped tank, sra, e85, 390s.its 565 at the wheels i took it to the track and got two Runs in. First run i left at 3500 bogged so bad the car almost died 2.8 sixty foot I traped 122 mph. The second run i left at 6000 rpm but i snap the belt tensioner off the line . I don't understand why it broke the tensioner and what do you think it should run if I get a good launch.

Time for a thumper rr tensioner. It snapped because maybe the belt had too much tension. Either way those cast aluminum tensioner suck.
When you put the belt on is there any movement left in the tensioner or is the belt so tight it keeps the tensioner against the stop?
