Hey guys I just received my motor from MPR. Specifically states on the paper work to prime the motor before starting it and using the starter will not work. I would like to hear how you guys did this.

Any means to inject oil into the oil passages after the oil pump. The primary gears are not submerged in the sump of these engines. My primer uses compressed air. It's a little more stout than a garden sprayer, but same principle. After priming and before firing the engine, it wouldn't hurt to use the starter to crank it over a few times. If you press the accelerator to the floor while you crank, it will not start.

Chevy LS engines are very similar as to the oiling system and there's probably more information on that application if you look it up. People get pretty imaginative on youtube.
