How much for a CSVT motor?

They range from 500 for a used motor to like 2000 for a brand new crate motor. What you could do is visit www.3lduratec.com they can hook you up with a 3 liter motor which can make a lot more power then a 2.5 liter SVT can.

If you are just doing to do a direct replacement CSVT engine, then you are wasting your money. You can get more power/torque for the same, if not less money with swapping in the 3.0L. Go to contour.org for all the answers....

Anyone know where to get a crate 2.5 csvt motor? I would like the 3.0 but modifying the trans to keep up with will not fit my budget.

You don't have to modify the trans to 'keep up with it' if you are smart you'll be fine. Its the idiots who do stupid chit that blow the trans....

Look at the sticky at the top of this forum and call Steve to get a good price. Just know that they ain't cheap!
