Q: Can a Ford inspector tell that the PCM has been reflashed?
A: No, all he would see is what I see and or what I tell him...

Again, the number of times the PCM has been flashed is stored. So loading your backup doesn't garauntee they wont find evidence of a reflash. This info came from both Nick @ Diablosport and Rick @ Amazon Racing.

It seems pretty clear to me that if the PCM
shows the number of times flashed that Ford
would know eventually-if it went to a warranty
war. Remember what the tech said that he can
only read what the WGS/NGS is telling him but
that doesn't mean that a returned PCM for
inspection would not show what they need to
prove-that a flash modification occured. Lets face
that what we're talking about here is-If a vehicle
had to have major costly warranty work or even
a vehicle being lemoned would Ford go to the extent
of a PCM return inspection-I think so if heavy money
is on the line. Further, I would think that any mod'd
car would leave some evidence of possible modifications
and if that were the case, where Ford became suspicious
they eventually will probably prove you mod'd the car-
Isn't that the bottom line of this thread?

Right, and I have also spoken to Nick about this as well. It doesn't matter, if your not trying to defraud you have no worries. If you are, well, I'm sure if someone were to scrutinize hard enough they could void your warranty for changing the tires.

Why dont you guys just call Diablo? Ask them and see what they say.
Or if I can get a car in my area to come by my friends dealer, I will have it checked out. Cause I'd like to know myself.

If your worried that badly, you can always prodgram your car with the predator... if/when you want to take it in, flash back to the stock tune. Take it to a dealer, complain of the tick and that "you heard" there was a program change. Have them load it.

Now that you have a Ford approved tune, take it to your dealer.

.... see how much bs it is....
