Powerglide or Not??

Im getting ready to pull my T56 because Im pretty sure the TOB is bad and I was going to upgrade the clutch and input shaft etc. Im going turbo eventually. Im really considering going auto with the turbo setup. Whats everyones opinion on going to a powerglide?

why a glide when you can do a 4r70w

Don't do a glide if you plan on running the street AT ALL. 4R70W, 4L80E, or TH400.

Powerglide is not bad at all on the street if your gearing is tall enough. 3.55, 3.31, 3.27, 3.08 with a 27 or 28 inch tire

3rd gear with the th400 mentioned above is the same ratio as the glides 2nd gear, 1:1. Just do the 1.76 glide, its much stronger than the 1.82. if your sticking with the stock gear set.
