Has anyone done this? Since the two systems are connected, and there is fluid in the hydroboost unit, what steps did you take?

I am thinking to disconnect the power steering at the lowest point, which may be at the cooler, and let it drain into a large bucket, while turning the rack. Keep starting/stopping to refill, then press the brake to get the new fluid into the hydroboost.

I've done searches but no one seems to have done it with the idea of flushing both steering and hydroboost.

Would appreciate feedback from anyone who has done this and your experience and guidance.

Thanks.

When I did my service I used a mighty vac, sucked the resivor dry, re-filled and then moved the rack to circulate. Repeating untiull the fluid is all new. If the hydroboost is connected, wouldnt this also be exhanging the fluid in there?

I think that you have to push the brake in a few times to get everything flushed out of the hydroboost reservoir but I'm not sure. That's the part I need info on.

Thanks for your reply, though.
