Hello everyone,

While I'm new to this forum, I'm a veteran ford owner and currently on a 1997 SVT Cobra. My question is for the Lightning Gurus. Recently, I've been debating getting rid of my cobra, and found a lightning for sale; 1994 Red Lightning with 133k, $8000. It has a lot done to it and I'll include the list...My main question is would this be worth trading my cobra for. My cobra is a crystal white with black leather, clean history, 94k, with only mild bolt-ons. Here is what's done to the Lightning: It has a very well built 393 stroker motor with an equally built C6 automatic. This truck has less than 1000 miles since being rebuilt.

Real 1994 SVT Lightning

Engine: 393 Stroker (351W block - DSS 393 stroker kit)
Not original engine for this truck...was a brand new engine build- ALL PARTS NEW!!
New Ford Block (351W stock bore)
ARP - head studs,main studs
DSS balanced rotating assembly-dish pistons with GSX X groove - file fit rings
DSS Main stud girdle
Comp Cams custom grind cam (high lift sounds great)
Comp Cams pushrods
Ford Racing roller lifters and spider
Ford Racing valve covers
Ford Racing Double Roller Timing Chain and Gears
TFS 1.6 Roller Rockers - studmount
Melling Standard Volume Oil pump
Edelbrock High Flow reverse rotation water pump
AC Delete pulley and bracket
March Billet Smog delete bracket and pulley
Fully ported Edelbrock Performer RPM Aluminum Heads (O-ringed)
Ford Motorsport Victor Jr intake
Holley 750 DP with mechanical secondary

Engine was built to add a supercharger to it. Dish pistons were used to keep compression ratio down. Brand new ford Racing HD radiator helps keep truck running cool. Truck can be street driven in 100 degree weather with no worries.

Transmission:
Well Built C6
Has Dynamic Converter 2600 RPM stall converter
Reverse Manual Valve Body
Winters reverse pattern shifter
Billet internals in tranny...tranny was built to hold 1000HP+

Rear:
Lightning 8.8 Rear with 4.10 gears and Detroit Locker
New Summit Racing Cover

Trucks odometer reads approx 133K miles but complete build has less than 1000 miles...Truck has never been to track. Power windows and locks function. Truck has factory installed sunroof. All lights on truck work as they should. Truck is PA inspected. The truck is super clean with zero rust. Body was taken off frame and chassis/suspension was painted. It is very nice. Truck has a rollpan. Truck drives down the road like its factory original you would be surprised how streetable this thing is.

Suspension:
DJM 3/4 lowering kit(Drop Beams)3" front 4"
JDM Long Bars (traction bars)

Wheels/Tires:
Holeshot Holepro drag wheels
New tires front and back (Drag radials)
Rear is not tubbed it just has the look of a tubbed truck

Exhaust:
3" exhaust all mandrel bent with Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers (truck sounds amazing)

Fuel System:
Brand new 15 gallon Aluminum Fuel cell with GM sending unit.
1/2" fuel line to regulator

If I was to be picky here are the things that would make this a mint show truck:

Interior really nice but a new carpet would make it mint
Paint is nice has a few dings and front valance has some scuffs.

Hard cover for bed has some clearcoat peeling.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as I think the truck looks awesome. Both vehicles have about 10-12k into them so it appears to be fair.

Thanks again.
