[QUOTE="svtfocus2cobra, post: 16153437, member: 21786"] Reading the whole thread I have thought of some more things. -My entire family is known for skating rinks. It started way back in the 30s/40s with my great grandfather who owned a two story dance hall on the Redondo (Washington, not California) pier that had a skating rink on the top floor. Unfortuantely, it burned down in an arson event but my family built more rinks and we had at the most 6 and there are 5 around the state now. Poor business and life decisions made after getting out of the business now leaves them without a retirement. My hope is that I can have my own business at some point while they are still alive that can provide them a good retirement. -With the whole skating thing, my dad used to coach the speed team and he had a number of people that he coached and taught that went onto become Olympic gold medalists and podium finishers with the most notable being Apollo Anton Ohno.
