Possible tranny problem

I've noticed lately that when I'm driving under normal acceleration that my tranny seems to slip/hesitate to go into 4th/OD. It feels like it wants to go in but slips or something. It will go in w/o any problems when I'm getting on it decently. I have a FTVB and dont know if that has anything to do with it.

Mine kinda of seems to shift rough as well.. do you have the FTVB installed?

yea its in there. its only on that shift though. 1-2-3 are fine.

when was it installed? maybe it is not seated right in the trans and the fluid circuit is leaking?

I had it installed about 1 1/2 years ago. I just dont know if its something I should be really concerned about or not.

Is it your torque converter locking up? Mine does that around 45 mph under light acceleration.

I took a little video of mine doing what I think you are talking about. It sounds like it might be slipping a little bit or having trouble switching into OD, but first you hear it going into OD and then the rpms drop again because the TC locks up.

It does it at about 4 seconds left in the video.

yea that is pretty much what mine is doing by the looks of it. Is this a problem or somewhat normal?

No its normal. Its just the TC locking up and bogging the engine a little. A little more or less throttle and it won't happen. I had the hardest time trying to replicate it on the video.
