yeah, the Sonus pads are supposed to be very good. You don't really need the buffing bonnet that they provide though (it's usually easier to buff off by hand unless you're using a stubborn/difficult to remove product)

This kit looks nice but doesnt have the counter weight that coastaltools.com offers. Is the counter weight necessary?? Also how much use do you get from a set of the pads???

P/C arrived today with pads. Dam that first pad for the swirls seems really aggressive. Makes me nervous with a black car.

if your a little nervous about using it and it's your 1st time try it out on the neighbors beater :bash:
but it would take a real clown  to mess up the finish using the PC (it's very "user friendly") meaning that a novice can perform like a PRO

the first time I tried it I was a nervous wreck but after that I wondered how I ever got by without it!!!

I got a cd-rom with instructions. It seems pretty easy. I have orbital buffers before (not on the cobra) but the bonnets are so soft. This Orange pad just seems really rough like its gonna tear the shit out of the paint. The other 2 pads are nice and soft. Maybe Ill do the spoiler first. My other 2 cars are white and silver so it would be hard to see damage.

The orange pad is for major defect removal. I would hihgly recommend you not use that pad for a long time. Wait until you know what you are doing before you use it. Odds are you will not hurt anything, but why take the chance when you really don't need it!

For those that are familiar with the PC, what is the most aggressive compound you have used with the orange pad, and what were the results? I have really bad water spots on my wife's Durango (Black) and my Silverado (Red), that I have not been able to remove. I have used the white pads that came with the PC and Meg's fine cut cleaner with no success. I believe the spots are etched.
