pops out of gear

well last night, i was leaving my house and i put it in reverse to get out of the drive way, well it pop out of gear. does that mean i need a new tranny, also i found 4.56's for 70.00, is it too good to pass up

i have had mine pop out of reverse before... i am pretty sure it just means that it wasnt in gear completely so when you put a load on it, it popped out. No worries until you cant keep it in gear..

are the gears used? I wouldn't recommend buying used gears

sweet, i thought i had to buy a new tranny, no the gears are new...also i just bout 3 liters of royal purple gear oil(all they have left till monday), thats not enough is it

if it starts popping out frequently, then i'd count on a new transmission. if it doesn't do it again, then it probably just wasn't in gear all the way like srl135 said.
