Heated up the BFG drag radials, set to launch at 4000 rpms and pop went the axles. At least that is everybody's opinion. No fluid leaks and the axle was locked up at first. Went to put it on the tow truck and both wheels were rolling, noticed the drivers side shock was twisted really bad.

Now it is time for the Moser axles, Eaton Posi, shocks and FRPP 4.30 gears;-)

I have no warranty on the axle, I had 4.10 gears in already.

I only know of one other Mach 1 that broke the axles.

Sounds like you may have twisted an axle tube or bent a control arm which could cause the shock to break. Let us know what you find.

I was on Weld Prostar XP's 16x8.5 with 255/50 bfg drag radials.

I also have HPM mega bite jr double adjustable upper control arms with HPM mega bite jr adjustable lower control arms. Had to make sure the pinyon angle was right after the T-56 install.

I am adding 5 way adjustable (Tokico) shocks while it is in the shop.

They are going to break it down Monday and hopefully all of the parts will be in to rebuild it the same day.

Wow, the end of one of the axles was completly gone! The caliper dug into my drivers side rotor and messed it up pretty bad.

I had these items installed today:

FRPP 4.30 gears
FMS Trak-Lok 31 spline upgraded by Pyle Bros in Baytown
Moser 31 spline axles
Tokico 5 way adjustable shocks (rear, saving for the front)
MAC axle girdle
Power Slot Pro-Slot rotors (rear, saving for the front), they look awesome on the car!
all the new seals and bearings.

Completed by LoneStar Performance in Garland, awesome job guys:beer:

The shock was not bent. Just an optical illusion being that the axle was out a couple of inches. The axle tube was fine also.
