I notice this puff of blue smoke about one time out of the week when I start of my car :nonono: ,64xxx miles .I asked some mechanics at work and they said it could posible be a over night leaking valve or a piston ring going out? if any one has experienced this proble or might think of the problem being something else please let me know.
By the way could it be a burned out cat?

Art
thanks

Unless its persistent, its probably fine. At 64k miles, your engine is getting a bit old, and the valve stem seals are likely getting a bit worn. You can check to see if you have a problem by examining your plugs for excessive oil consumption.

Alot of 4v's do this. Though I've never noticed it on mine, I've read about a bunch of 99-01 and 96-98 guys who have noticed there cars doing the same thing. Moral of the story, don't worry about it until it starts smoking while you're driving.
