Please Help! MRT Hood Struts

Need some help guys. I am tyring to install my MRT hood struts and I have a few questions. What did you guys have to grind/modify in order to get the bottom bracket to fit? It seems like the bolt is too short when you have the bracket in place. Did anyone have to go get a longer bolt to compensate for the width of the bottom bracket? Any pointers would be appreciated!

I got some longer bolts from Lowes. They were like $2 or something like that. Theirs a thread on here that has the part number for the bolts.

I got some longer bolts from MRT. They are exactly like the original bolts but longer.

I used the Lowe's bolts as well. Worked perfectly
