About to pull the trigger on some 315 MT et street II for 10.5 wide chrome stockers. Lets see pics from rear and side profile. Also, if you have ran these tires how are they on the street?
Here are a few pics of them on my 17 x 10.5 10th chrome wheels. They hook up very well, but these tires are totally useless for traction below 50* and on any type of wet road with a worn or slick surfacing. If you're area has year round warm weather and stays mostly dry, you'll be fine with them.
I ran this set up last year, 17X 10.5" reps with 315 MT street II's. I put theses on after the TS went on, and they do hook really well.
I would not be comfortable at all with them in the rain, so keep that in mind. As mentioned above, they really shine on warm road surfaces, not so much on cold, which stands to reason.
I've got different wheels now with Toyo R888's. I really like these as well, but they don't come close to hooking up as good as the MT's did, but if ever caught in a unexpected spring/summer storm, they are much more stable.
It's just whatever you purpose your car for which dictates which tire set up us best for you.
Rear view (I had button head IRS bolts, and a 1/4" spacer too)
315/35/17s on stock wheels. Nothing but praise for these tires, they hook very well. I had Nitto 555s on the rear before these and the MT's put them to shame. Great street tire IMO, just be mindful of the weather, as I have no experience with them on wet pavement. I could blow the 555s off in second gear, but can't get the MT's to break loose in second.
Thanks guys!!! I dont daily drive the car so i think ill be ok. Doesnt rain much in west tx. I think im gonna pull the trigger on these. I am running a 1/4 inch space in the rear already. Anyone else have more pics??
I would seriously consider the 305/35r18 instead. The 305s are both taller AND wider, regardless of the width advertisement. Both are better for traction.
