Pics of GT500's with 27.5-28" tall rear tires?

I tried the search. I would like to see some pics of GT500s with tires that are a little taller than the stockers. Thinking 305/40's or 315/40 DR's might be a good thing...even for daily street use.

Will the taller rear tire screw anything up as far as the computer? I know the speedo will read slower. This will be my first new Ford in awhile, so I'm not up to speed on the newer PCM's yet.

Thx.

The 305/40's are just about a perfect size. Your speedometer should read between 1 mile - 1.5 mile difference.

305/40s should be perfect. Not alot of 27" drag radials. The only brand I know of are Nittos but have seen no photos of them.

Here are Nitto 305/45s which are way too huge. 28"+

Here are MT 305/35s (26.5"ish) which would be perfect with about another inch.

Sorry no shots of any 27". Like to see some.:pop:

Yes, Nitto makes a 305/40, and while I know a lot of folks on here hate the Nittos, I use them as my 100% street tire for my Lightning and my Z06. Sure they spin hard from a dig, but I just need something to hook from a roll. Believe it or not, even with 610+rwhp in a 3100lb Vette, they hook great from a 20mph roll in 2nd.

So that is really what I'm wanting to see... how the 27.5" Nittos look. I refuse to run a shorter tire in the rear than on the front (even though the stockers are _just_ that... .1" shorter in the rear than the front). That's close enough to be ok, but a 305/35 is .5" shorter than a 255/45 front tire... no dice for me... not since I will run them full-time on the street.

Maybe I'll be the guinea pig. :) I was just going to go get some 285/40 Nittos and run those, but maybe I'll try the 305/40. Might need to get some 10-10.5" wide wheels first.

I agree with the using the Nitto 305/40s for a full time street tire. Ill be doing that when my F1s wear out. My question is are they really avail? I know they have been on their site for a while but they were not avail earlier in the year.

Doubt we will be having any 27" DR options from the stickier tires companies anytime soon.:bored:
I would not get the 285/40s.

I didn't realize they weren't available. I was just going by what they had advertised on their site. Hmm...

If they aren't out, wouldn't the 285/40 DR be better then the stock tires?

They might be avail now. I just have seen no one posting shots after many request. Be the first to post some.

I would absolutely want the extra tire in the 305. Should fit fine on the stock rims so go the biggest (width) you can.:coolman:
