Interior pics:
I fell in love with the Red intsert interior about 6 months ago and had to have it. Its the same as the original concept car. It goes with the red exterior really nicely, and gives the other wise bland black interior a little extra flavor. This interior is a sweet combination of retro theme and modern ergonomics.

"Powered by SVT" on finned alluminum valve covers is just soooo cool from the factory. I cant wait to see what she puts out with a pulley, and tune. I have a pretty good idea already however.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. you guys are like Family now.
Its a nice ride to say the least. Very powerful, even stock.

Since Im always asking what everyone paid, its only fair that I disclose.
The original dealer in NY, wanted 2k from my dealer. Then my Dealer tagged on an additional 1k, for a total of 3k markup.

But I wouldnt pay that.:lol1:
So my Dealer sweetened the deal by allowing me to bring the buyer of my ZO6 in, and do a "courtesy Trade", which saved me about 2 grand in tax money, Which I would have otherwise paid, had I sold the car, like I was about to.

Net result, I paid aprox = 1k over
It was very difficult finding one, withOUT the Mach 1000 and without the NAV. This also brought the price way down. Even with the 1k over, this car was still much cheaper than some of the other MSRP deals I had been offered in the past.

When I have more time, I will post some impressions and comparisons between the Z and the GT500.

Take care everyone!

Congrats!! But you still technically paid $3k over. Not that it matters cause now that you own and have driven the car its a non-factor. Car is worth $60k+ based on ownership experience IMHO.

Technically yes, however cost out of pocket was only about 1 k over, with all things considered from the trasaction.
They gave me a nice deal on the exact car I wanted..

Opened her up a bit on Sunday night, and got some nice blower whine.
Bad wheel hop however off the line, so that will be first on my list to fix.
I'm perplexed how it could come from the factory with such bad hop.:nonono: Especially with a live rear. But Evolution will be helping me with that problem.

Got a bit of clutch chatter coming off the line in 1st gear as well. Its not bad, but you can feel lit.. Im hoping that goes away after I put a few hundred miles on her. I havent even gottn past the 70 mark yet.

I noticed that on my car with only 50 miles...I hope the chatter goes away after a few miles.

 Nice
The red inserts are just enough (and not too much:poke:) to spice up the interior.

Now lower it quick!

So... in other words, you traded in your Z06 to the dealer, who sold it to your buyer for the same price?

In concept, thats basically it. However, I think the dealer does the papeprwork a bit differently.

The checks (from my buyer) were actually written out to me, and had to clear in my account first. Once the checks have cleared, the dealer draws off my account, cashing in the checks I wrote them, at time of sale.

ITs known as a courtesy trade, AKA a "paper trade" in PA.
Perfectly legal and a nice way to save $$$$. Many salesman dont even know about it, and finding a dealer that will do it, is relatively rare.
