I would say no way. I just recently put 245s on the front of mine and 295s on the 10" rears. They look great and fit better, so again, no way.

...Anybody else? If i cant get a wider tire to fit, I am thinking of just having my rears widened to like 10.5" and running a 305 or 315. Anybody done that and know what the cost usually is?

I have 295/35/18 Goodyear GSD3s and they fit perfectly.

Edit: OOps...you meant for the fronts. Mine are Michelin 255s

No i am talking rears, but yours are 10" rears it looks like? I have 18x8.5" all the way around and wanting to stick a little wider meat on them...

I'm running a 265, but only because the 255 was on backorder. I definately wouldn't go any wider then what you are running now.

Well my 275's dont bulge the slightest bit and i have seen a set of 285's on some that dont bulge either. Just dont see why a 295 would be that much different. I know 100% that a 295 will fit a 18x9 fr500 no problem

I'm running a 245 on the front 8.5 and I like the staggered look.

If I had the 8.5 in the rear, I think a 275 would be the widest I'd go. I think anything bigger will just look off.

To modify the wheels I'd think it would be at least a couple hundred bucks considering shops around here want at least 100 bucks or more to refinish a wheel.

You do realize that you get no advantage (unless you just think it looks cool) from putting too wide a tire on a rim... your actually just adding weight and losing traction because the tire patch is not optimal.

Already running a 275/35 with NO bulge, wanting to go wider...

You should post pics of that setup. I'm running 275/40/17 Gforce KDWS on a 9" wheel, and there's a tiny bit of bulge. I don't see how a rim that's .5" narrower wouldn't have any bulge whatsoever.

i've got 245's on my ront and they're probably perfect for a front tire. Based off of that i'd say go 265 or 275. i think a little bulge looks good, but then again i am running 335's on my 10" rims....

I also think a little bulge looks good. I am going to find out for sure on the 295's as i got a used set from a buddy so i'm gonna stick them on in the next couple days at work and see what they look like.

Well I put a 295 on awhile back and it just bulged a little 2 much for my liking. Probably going with the 285 out back when my rears wear out. Thanks for all the input.
