PI cams in non-PI heads????

Hi,

I am doing a head swap on my 98 f150 4.6L with some remanufactured heads (non-PI). I came across some cams out of PI heads and was told they will fit and work. The part numbers for the cam followers, lash adjusters, etc. all appear to be the same. Will these cams really work?

you can run PI cams in non pi heads.

But i mean it would be alot easier to get used PI heads in good shape with cams and just bolt them on with PI intake from a newer PI headed truck. Unless of course you allready have the non-pi heads then your kinda stuck with them.
