Photoshop question...

How do you make the background of a pic. black & white, but the object you're focused on, still have color? Do you have to manually select the object and select the inverse, then desaturate? There has to be an easier way.

Heres what i do...i make a copy of the background then ctrl+click on the background copy to select the whole image. Then ill use the lasso tool set on the subtract from selection button and outline the object then just destraut the image...Then delete the original background.
