Photo Editing/Camera Questions....?

i came across a good deal on a camera, i want to get into taking some good quality photos. I do a large amount of lurking on these forums and i've noticed some unbelievable pictures. so i bought the camera and just wanted to see what programs you all use to edit your photos. also if its not too much of a PITA, post up what camera and lense combos you have and a few pictures so i can get an idea of what quality to expect out of the one i bought. and i know the camera i got is a good one, but how does it rank with what you guys have? Bare with me as i am new to the "nice" camera world, ha.


camera is nikon D70S, with two lenses, one is a Nikkor 18-70mm(1:3.5-4.5G ED), and the other lense is a Nikkor 70-300mm(1:4-5.6D ED)

Well all my gear is in my sig......A D70 is definetly a good camera. If your new to DSLRs in general then I suggest you look into books and websites that help you understand exposure, shutter speed, aperture, ISO and how they work together. Thats what I did when I got into photography.

As far as programs used to edit pics. The gimp is a free program that lets you edit pics. http://www.gimp.org/
