Lots of factors, but, here is a quick guide using 60M.

Borrow $15K @ 4.9% for 60M = approx. $282.38 per month
Borrow $15K @ 7.9% for 60M = approx. $303.43 per month

Borrow $20K @ 4.9% for 60M = approx. $376.51 per month
Borrow $20K @ 7.9% for 60M = approx. $404.57 per month

Borrow $25K @ 4.9% for 60M = approx. $470.64 per month
Borrow $25K @ 7.9% for 60M = approx. $505.72 per month

FYI - I put close to 20% down.

Well, I screwed up and bought my '04 Mystic 'Vert (the most expensive Cobra other than the '00 R) two months before Ford added SVTs to the 0% finance plan in late 2004. I bought it in the summer of '04 for the X Plan price at $500 above invoice, so it wasn't horrible. But it sure wasn't cheap either! Got the 3.95% rate. :cuss: I kept asking them to give me the 0%, but they said they couldn't do it on SVTs. Two months later, Ford extends the incentives to include the Cobra. :fm:

Go find yourself a new 2004 left on some dealer lot and try to get the 0% financing. It is a great deal.

I paid cash for a used 2003 with 3000 miles. 27K. No payments is nice. Still have a year of payment on a 2003 VW GTI, a year left on 2001 Sport Trac, and three years left on a 65 fastback

i paid like 30k in norcal for a '03 silver cobra with 24k on the odometer. i put down 8k through a 60 month plan which i financed 22 and my payments are $460. my % is 9.25 and it was through toyota AND I WAS ONLY 19 WITH HARDLY ANY CREDIT AND NO CO-SIGNER. i'm refinancing soon through my credit union to a much lower % and i'll probably do another 5 year loan, maybe a 7 year loan and my payments should be $300-325ish a month. oh and my insurance is only $180 a month for two cars and the cobra is full coverage.

damn i paid 27500 for my 03 redfire vert with 18,xxx on it at 5.25% and got an extended warrenty with it.... because it was some For Executives incentive car or something...

only reason it had so many miles is because the idiots drove it from california to new york for the auction and then drove it to texas....

complete idiots!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought mine for 25,000 with 1000 miles 5 months ago but since I gave 0 money down my payment is $544 plus $160 a month insurance on the cobra. Took the car out for 5 years and now I owe 30,000 on the cobra and 8,000 on the GT.
It’s always good to give some money down. BTW I’m 20 and have little
Credit so my old man took both mustangs out for me. At least my insurance
Is not that high. Thanks dad!!

If your credit is good enough and youre not gonna put down a significant amount, like 30% or so. I say finance the whole thing. That is if your interest rate is good too. I bought mine brand new no money down. $685 a month. I dont see the point in letting a big chunk of money go just to save a 100 or so dollars a month. You never know when you might need that chunk.
