Parking brake?

This may be a stupid question but... if you get rid of the parking brake cable does the brakes on the hydroboost system still function as they should? I heard somewhere that it was a weird system and if you get rid of the parking brake cable the front and rears will not function.

Not a chance that would be allowed to happen. If your park brake cable broke, you would have no brakes at all. Way too much liability involved to have a situation like that on the street.

That was my thoughts. I don't even know why I ask the stupid question. I guess I get into my head too much. Thank you
