2005 PANOZ ESPERANTE GTLM SPECIAL EDITION ROADSTER

When they were showing the car on Speed, they had the gauge console out of the 03/04's mounted in the center of the dash, splitting the driver and passenger seat.

...supercharged version of Ford's quad cam 4.6 liter V8 good for 420hp and 390lb-ft. It is mated to a short throw Tremec 6-speed gearbox versus the standard Esperante's 5-speed, and sports an 8.8 inch limited slip differential.

Looks like they pulled more than just the motor/tranny from the Terminator.

I saw one of those when I was in Cali this summer. There is A LOT from the terminator transferred over. The cluster stuck out like a sore thumb. I've got some pics of the one I saw somewhere.

I have been to tour the Panoz Factory. I also drove a 03/04 powered Panoz while there. They have used the Cobra motors (and transmission)in the Panoz sine 1993 when the 1st panoz had the Cobra 5.0 in them. Hre are a few pics from 2005.

One that had been through the tuner shop next door. It had a KB and a few extra goodies.

I've been there also (in 2002 before the terminators were out)....that's where I bought my BBS Plasmas from. They were great folks to deal with.

The site is quite amazing to see how they build these cars from scratch to finish in their plant...
