Painting valve covers?

Me being a Ferrari fan, how hard would it be to paint the DOHC V8's valve covers red? I mean, I'm somewhat mechanically inclined, how hard is it to get them off? Is it only removing a few hoses and bolts, or is it a major production getting them off.
