Hi temp header paint.... make sure you grind down the headers as best you can... then apply about 3 coats. Its going to stink something serious when you run it for a while... a day or so, but then you will be good!!!

ok thanks! Prob available at Lowes or Home dept?

Anyone ever try or hear of this stuff: Klean-Strip Automotive®

Just go to your local parts store... Don't go to a lumberyard, home improvement store. Just your local parts store and grab about 5-6 cans. Thats what its going to take to cover all of the piping with 2-3 coats. you'll spend about $20.00

the only way to do it right is to sandblast ALL of the rust off first, then put a couple of thin coats of high temp header paint like the stuff from VHT. IF you just spray over rust, your finish will be very short lived.

Sandblasting is the way to do it if you can, also a chemical bath would do well as well.
