Why not get a quote to repaint it, touch up the chips (will be harder to see but won't matter if it's gonna get resprayed later), list it for sale and tell the buyer you'll knock off X amount for the cost to get it resprayed if they bitch about the chips being touched up?

IMO unless your car is collector tier status repaint or partial repaint isn't a huge issue. For collector purposes I get it but if you've already modded your car in any way and the mileage isn't low that ship has sailed. My car was in an accident at one point, I know the bumper, hood, and fender have been repainted. I detail cars so I've seen some bad repaints, this one is actually good.
