Paint Chip Repair Kits - Anyone ever use / Suggestions?

Has anyone ever used one of these paint chip repair kits for touch-ups?

I have a chip on the hood that went through the clear coat and paint, but hesitant to use it on the hood of the car.

I went to a body shop to inquire about them touching it up and maybe wet sanding it to blend it in. They did not recommend wet sanding, (go through the clear coat) and just recommended buying touch-up paint and using something other then the brush that comes w/the paint. I was pretty disappointed when the shop really didn't want to touch it though...........

My experience in past with touching-up chips - the dreaded blob, no matter how careful I was.

Any Helpful suggestions appreciated.

I have used to Norton Paint Chip repair kit and it worked great.

1) Clean area
2) add touch up paint
3) wait 24 hours then remove excess (top of blob) with razor blade. try not to scratch paint
4) Use norton system. I think it used 3 different compounds (been awhile since i used it)

Langka works pretty damn good, it's tedious work because you have to keep building the paint up in the chip. It's worth it though.

I've used the Langka kit and was happy with it. While my repair did not turn out as good as their pictures it was a lot less noticeable and looked way better than having the chip.
