These are a very popular replacement for the 2005-2008 Roush Mustang. It is the same size as the factory unit and will directly bolt up to the Roush brackets. What is unique in a Roush car is that the alternator is mounted higher in the engine compartment and rotated backwards, facing the engine. PA Performance has had the top ears machined off, so powder coat finishes are more common to hide any porosity in the aluminum. They use larger capacity internals to combate the increased heat in an application spinning backwards. 80+ amps at idle (2000 alternator shaft rpm) 160+ amps maximum (6000 alternator shaft rpm) The stock belt can be used on original equipment vehicles.
Also a popular upgrade for the Department of Boost supercharger kits which utilize Shelby GT500 superchargers.
