On my way back from town today and started smelling electrical. Smoke was coming in passenger side. Pulled over and found the green wire going to the driver side wiring for the CoP was basically burned into to all insulation burned off, from looking on internet looks like this is the ground that runs back to the ECU, car is missing and running like crap. Have heard that a coil going bad can cause insane current on the wire but enough to burn it literraly into, where should I start, replacing all coil packs and wiring but hoping I don't have a underlying problem with the ECU, any help or inshight would be appreciated. Car is mild with only smaller pulley exhaust and tune so I wouldnt have expected this at 39xxx.

Thanks Chris

turned out to be a fried coil on front cyclinder passenger side, coil got super hot and damn near exploded, would not have expected this at 39xxx miles maybe it has more to do with age and not another underlying problem, will replace all 8 just to be safe.
