On the way home from running an autocross event yesterday the CEL light popped on. Car was sputtering at anything more the 1/4 throttle (was like the traction control was kicking on) but I was able to nurse it home. Ran the code and got the P0190: Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Malfunction. Cleared the code and reseated the connectors and the car isn't sputtering but does seem a little off. This may be the cause of my crappier than usual fuel mileage that I have been seeing the last few fill-ups and now it finally decided to bite the big one.
So I decide to park the car and get a new sensor to be safe. No one carries this damn sensor. All the area Ford dealers said it was a special order item that takes 4-7 days to get. I finally found someone that had them in stock and had it shipped express. All this trouble for a little black plastic box.
