I have ordered an accufab oval throttle body from sean hyland motorsport. The site says minor intake modifications required.....anyone done this mod on 99 or 01 cobra?????...the 98 upper is different, and should work ok...the 99-up, uses the old tb and intake for the air bypass solenoid. you will grind/molest this area of the intake for the new oval tb. Sooooo, you will need a manual idle via the set screw. not too bad till you turn on the a/c. (hot in new orleans), car will die at one out of four stops. raised idle to 1000rpm. problem cleared. removed t/b,(ordered new $600 upper intake) don't like 1k idle. I have some ideas for a bypass solenoid modification which would work, just looking to see if anyone been down this road already. p.s. at wot the car really seems to get up and go. any suggestions/ideas??? thankx.:idea:
