Just got my new to me GT500. An 08 with 19K miles. My 2nd one. The car didn't get driven much by the former owner and had a bad battery. She agreed to a new one before the sale.
The shop talked her into a Optima Yellowtop. Group 35. It's physically just a touch smaller than a typical 78/34 Redtop. I don't like how they installed it and the strap lets it move around a little. A need a hold down. I've seen a couple that may fit the bill and would like to know of any experience with them. The Optima is taller than a stock battery so one of the tray type deals with a plate above and below the battery is out as that extra 1/4" would put it too close to the hood for my liking. What I've found:

I just happen to like the UPR unit because they have it in a brushed finish instead a chrome or polished like most.
