I was screwing around with my new Camera rig last night and testing my new Greddy type BOV on the Bird. I forgot to filter the wind noise. It mounts to the windshield pretty solid. I will be doing a SilverSnake vid soon.

Maybe a stupid question: What function does a BOV serve? What function does a waste gate serve? Are they similar or what?

A blow off valve bleeds excess air off the compressor side of the Turbo system so it does not get backed up and damage the system.

A Wastegate lets excess gases bypass the Turbo side of your turbo setup. It regulates Boost.
