Oil smells like gas???

I changed my L's oil yesterday, and it seemed to have a gasoline scent. What could be the reason for this? Should I be worried? This is a 2000 with 102000 miles on it. It is completely stock, and I really don't drive it hard. Thanks for all of your input guys. I really hope there is nothing wrong with it. Againg thanks for your help.

usually running extremely rich will cause that...you have any mods? if there is alot of gas in there that is a problem.

I thing rings on the way out will do it too or a combination of running to rich.
You should send your oil out to be anylized

IT could, because it would cause way more fuel than the engine can burn. Google Black Stone Labs, they do fuel analysis for like 20 bucks also.
