oil pump advice

i know this subject is a horse beat to death but i cant find the answers i need to pull the trigger on a oil pump

i am building my 99 cobra ground up and i am wondering should i go with melling oil pump with billet gears or use the factory 4v oil pump

my build plan is 600whp +

Can we run the new GT500 pump? That seems to a popular choice with the 3V crowd. Personally I have the Melling. But I got it for an awesome price off ebay a few years ago.
