Couldn't find a thread on this already, but has anyone changed their oil pan? I imagine it's a PITA. I haven't gone underneath to look at it, but I'm guessing you have to raise the motor a bit for clearance.

Your going to have to lift the motor to clear the pan on the k member. I've not done it but know guys who have. It's possible but not fun.

Or support the motor and drop the k member. . or just pull the motor and make life easier.

I've done it. Pull the motor, it'll save you a ton of hassle. You'll have to jack the engine way up to clear the pan anyway, so you might as well just un-hook a few more things and pull it out completely..save yourself the hassle of working on your back. Put it on a stand, flip it over and get the new pan installed cleanly.

It's possible to do without removing the engine, but you won't enjoy it.

As mentioned above, the other option is to drop the K-member, with the engine supported from above. This wouldn't be all that difficult to do, but you'd need an alignment afterward.
