Which is more important?

Mechanical or Electrical sending units? What are the pros and cons of both?

I would go electrical.

If the Capillary Tubing running to your Mechanical Oil or Water Temp Gauge breaks or comes loose while the engine is running you'll end up with a nicely redecorated interior.

Go electric, much easier to install. I ran ultralite autometer electrics in my S-15 for three years and no problems.

Would oil pressure/temp or water temp be more beneficial? Do the electrical autometer sending units and gauges come with the adapter that will fit in the block for the water temp?
