Hello,

I had picked up a cobra motor from the classifieds with approximately 50k miles on it. Just curious if it is normal to have a small bit of oil at the bottom of the intake manifold?

I couldn't really get a good picture of it with the oil in the manifold so I poured it on a towel.

I know the gunk on the IMRC's is normal, but I was just curious about the oil. I'm getting ready to put this motor in, so I need some advice, whether or not it's worth it... or if there is a bigger problem lurking. I would love to do a compression test, but the engine is out of the car.

Thanks guys,
Jim

I've had multiple cobra intakes pass through my hand. is pretty normal. there is a mod to help prevent that somewhere i believe, ill try and find it.

My car looked like that at 160k (minus the oil on the towel). Looks normal to me though.

Do you have to change the tune or anything if you delete the PCV? I'm thinking about just doing breathers when I change to COP valve covers.
