Oil Dipstick lenth

Can someone tell me the lenth of the stock dipstick. The truck came with a dipstick long enough to touch the ground while holding the handle at the top of the hole. It feels like the stick slides all the way across the bottom of the oil pan. It is showing 5 inched above the full line. I removed a dipstick from a 99 F150 w/ 5.4 and oil shows up half an inch up the stick.

Mine is about 26.5" from the seating surface just above the O-ring to the end of the stick. That is on a 00 Lightning. I would assume they are all the same...but I may be wrong.

No problem man....and yea...that is waaay too long for the oil dipstick.

Man you guys have big Dipsticks

Although I can brag that my dipstick went so deep that it got wrapped around the crankshaft when I blew the motor. Awwwwww Yeah... big dipstick action up in there...
