I have not received reports from any customers that these resolved that issue.

This replaces the bushings and no you do not use the nylon insert.

Will these work with on the MGW shifter arms?

If the bore and width of the MGW (or Barton) matched that of the factory steel arms, the answer to your question would be yes. If it isn't a match I see no reason why an aluminum bushing couldn't be made specifically for either of those shifters and perform the same function.
