Odometer going in/out

I have searched and cant seem to find the answer.

Sometimes my odometer will not come on or will go out. When I tap the gauge cluster, it will come back on with no problems. I am guessing a connector/wire is loose in the cluster.

Is this a common problem? Any write up's on fixing it?

I've never had it happpen. Its easy to pull it out to check though.

I think your diagnosis is probably correct. There's probably a loose wire back there. Just take out the cluster and check it out.
