I put the car on the dyno recently, and it looked pretty good. But there was one instance of timing being pulled by the ECU. On the first run I noticed a power dip right around 4800. I was logging data and saw that the timing dropped from ~16-17* down to 10*. On the 2nd and 3rd pulls, the timing (and power) stayed good for the whole run.
I checked my graphs from years ago and noticed the same dip in the same general place. I wasn't logging then, but would assume it was the same problem.
There's not much other data in the log to check. The plots of the knock sensors looked about the same for all 3 runs. If it was a heat issue, I assume it would've happened the other way around (on the 2nd and/or 3rd runs instead of the 1st).
Anyone ever see anything similar? Any possible explanations?
