O2 Sensors

Anyone know if I'll have any issues with running the downstream O2 sensors up stream? (downstream O2s will be programmed out with my tune). I ask this because I have 6 downstream sensors but no upstream and if they'll work (aside from the plugs needing the tabs cut to fit the upstream connection) I can forgo buying new sensors.

Anyone have any insight on this? I know the two look different but do they read different is the question.

BTW, I have an X3 and it didn't pickup any codes after I installed the downstreams in the upstream location. I ask all this because I'm taking my car to get a tune next week and I want to make sure the O2s are okay to run. Seem to be okay but I'm not an O2 expert yet so thought I'd pulse the forums to see what the experts thought.
