I have a 96 Cobra TT with BS3 and I just got this car so I am inexperienced with modular motors and efi. The race gas has munched this 02 sensor. I took it out last night and torched it trying to clean it and it didn't help. I have a spare sensor that came with the car that I am going to swap and put new plugs in the motor which I am sure that will cure the problem. Car has trouble idling and dying when going into gear off of idle. The guy who tunes the car knows what he's doing and has an excellent reputation so I know the tune is good and I know the motor is running pig fat by just looking at the plugs. This car makes over 1000 RWHP so it is a serious piece. Is there an O2 sensor out there that is race gas or leaded fuel friendly or all of them vulnerable to leaded gas? I would ask my tuner this but he is out of town and just wanted to see what others experiences have been. Thanks in advance. I am used to pushrod motors, carbs, and lots of nitrous. LOL!
