O/D light flashing

Flashing usually denotes some type of transmission or wheel speed sensor code. Your run of the mill hand held tuner can not read those. Find a shop or acquaintance with a snap on scanner or equivalent.
I've had this happen to me twice. The first time I probably hadn't hit 50k miles and I had just arrived at a vacation spot after a 90 minute drive. No harsh acceleration or anything during the trip. The second time was years later and a very similar situation. Upon restarting my car, I didn't have the flashing light. While the light was flashing I didn't notice any changes in the way my car was driving so I'm not quite sure what it was. Checked the fluid and everything was OK. If you find out what it is, let me know...I am curious just in case it rears its head again and doesn't go away.
