Returned earlier from the NYAS, it was a great show and my first real trip into NYC. The place was packed and extremely hard to take pictures.
Some high (low) -lites:
-Multipe people cutting in line
-Some little kid slapped the Gt500 back bumper as hard as he could, everyone turned and looked at him and his dad did nothing
-Some punk kids stole the oil cap off of the SRT-4
-the PR guy from the Shelby got into an argument with two drunk hecklers
-The guy that i went up with has an 03 cobra vert, and after we returned to DE he went and offered to put a $500 deposit down on the first one. Ford wouldnt take the deposit yet, but confirmed he is first on the list.
Some questions i asked the ford PR guy re: GT500- Take it for what its worth
1-Weight - "Right now they are telling me 3450lbs"
2-Price - "Sorry cant answer that"
3-Tranny - "Beefier then 03 cobra"
4-Blower - "I don't know if its a whipple, eaton, or vortech". He then came back and said "It's a whipple, i just confirmed"
5-How many PSI does the boost gauge read up to? He went and checked for 3 mins and said it "does not have a stock boost guage"
6-Any info on how long production - "I have been told to expect around 12000 over two years. They should be rolling out around this time next year.
7-And what happens after that? "you should expect to see a california special, hertz, and nothing has been confirmed yet on a Gt350.
