In yet another sign of the times the 80+ year old German legendary track is going bust. What this means for the tracks continued existence we'll just have to wait and see.

World Famous Nürburgring Racetrack in Germany To File for Insolvency - SPIEGEL ONLINE

With millions of euros in debts and an inability to pay back its loans, the operator of Germany's fabled Nürburgring racetrack, home to many of the country's Formula One races, could declare bankruptcy next week. It may be the end of the legendary racecourse, which first opened in 1927.

You mean the Nurburgring? I would hate to hear that it shuts down. It is on my bucket list.

Hard to believe that they could be insolvent.

Cars and bikes lined up all day at $24.00 a lap. They are bringing in appx $200.00 per minute. Somedays much more. Does it really cost the track more than $125,000.00 per day to stay in operation?
